The Best Headsets For PS5 & PS5 Pro [2026]
When someone comes into my shop and asks me to recommend a good headset for their PS5 or PS5 Pro, I don’t automatically point them toward the most expensive or highest-performance model on the shelf. There are headsets that cost around $400, but that doesn’t mean they’re the right choice for everyone.
I first try to understand what kind of gamer they are. Do they spend 10+ hours a day gaming? Are they more of a casual player? Or somewhere in between, playing a few hours every day? For me, that’s more important than their budget at first. Once I know how they actually use their headset, then we can talk about how much they should spend.
⯁ For gamers who spend around 3-4 hours a day playing, my go-to recommendation is the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Headset. It offers a really good balance between sound, features, comfort, and price, usually for less than $100. It’s also the headset many of my customers end up choosing, and most are very happy with it.
⯁ For serious power gamers who spend many hours gaming and want the best performance and features regardless of price, I’d go with the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. It’s expensive at around $400, but you’re getting a premium headset with excellent performance and a lot of features aimed at serious gamers.
⯁ And if you’re on a tight budget and just want a good PS5 headset for under $50, my recommendation is the Razer BlackShark V2 X. It’s wired and doesn’t have all the extras of the more expensive models, but for the money, it’s a very easy headset to recommend.
